Key Responsibilities:
HSE Management & Implementation:
Lead HSE activities and monitoring for assigned Newbuilding projects.
Conduct regular site tours and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors to verify and calibrate machinery and equipment with strict labor safety requirements.
Input Safety Observation, Toolbox Talk, and HSE inspection reports into the database and follow up on corrective actions.
Control “Permit to Work” documents.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement the annual labor protection plan.
Organize regular safety campaigns and awareness events regarding national and company HSE regulations.
Incident Management & Investigation:
Actively participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and root causes, and report findings directly to the HSEQ Manager.
Environmental duties:
Monitor the Company’s environmental licenses, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), detailed environmental protection plans and environmental procedures.
Manage environmental activities, including wastewater testing, waste classification, noise and Odor measurements, etc.
Manage reports on the Environmental Monitoring Program, Working Environment Monitoring Program, and other reports submitted to relevant authorities.
Handle environmental project tasks as required, such as jetty dredging, jetty opening, newbuilding wastewater treatment systems, Energy Management Systems, greenhouse gas reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
Other duties:
Inspect the working environment, assess food safety, and monitor work-related injuries and occupational diseases.
Propose control measures to enhance employee health and well-being.
Advise management on methods for correcting and preventing outstanding HSE issues.
Perform additional HSE-related activities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education: College Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Proven experience in shipbuilding, heavy manufacturing, or industrial environments.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of national HSE regulations.
Familiarity with international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Skills & Competencies:
First Aid, Firefighting, and Fire Protection skills.
Strong self-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant HSE professional certificates (highly advantageous).
Excellent training, presentation, and communication skills.
Strong risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
